No Deployment of THAAD!

On July 8, the U.S. and the south Korean belligerent group decided to deploy THAAD in south Korea, despite the unanimous opposition and rejection of the south Korean people and many other countries.

They mislead the public opinion by saying their decision is an inevitable option as north Korean rockets and its test-fire pose a serious threat to south Korea and the Asia-Pacific region.

The THAAD deployment is a direct product of the sinister ambition of the U.S. to dominate the world by holding its military hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region and the south Korean puppet group's vicious moves to escalate the confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north in a bid to invade the north, backed by its master.

The deployment is aimed at establishing an Asia-version NATO with the U.S.-south Korean alliance as an axis to contain great powers and take military supremacy in Northeast Asia.

There are strong protests against the U.S. and south Korean authorities’ decision of deployment of THAAD throughout south Korea.

On July 9, there took place a large-scale rally with the participation of more than 3,000 people under the sponsorship of the Chilgok measure committee against the deployment of THAAD composed of various circles of people.

The people in the county would not offer even one pyeong (one pyeong equals 3.3 square meters) for the deployment of the THAAD, they stressed.

The civic organizations noted that the decision of THAAD deployment was released one-sidedly without public consensus as it is an issue vital to security of the people. They urged the U.S. and south Korean authorities to withdraw the decision at once as the decision would heighten military tension on the Korean Peninsula.

The opposition parties including the People’s Party and the Justice Party said that the decision of deployment of THAAD should be cancelled and reexamine it as it would touch off arms race in the Northeast Asia and constitute a threat to peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula.

The introduction of THAAD to south Korea shows the Park Geun-hye regime is a group of an unparalleled traitor.

Struggle is the only way out for workers

South Korean workers’ actions against the authorities’ anti-workers policy is brisk.

20, 000 construction workers under the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions launched a general strike in front of the Seoul Station on July 6.

Saying that they are forced to work for long hours with a low wage, they denounced the authorities’ unpopular policy inviting these awkward situations.

They marched along the street holding placards written “No suppression of the construction trade unions”.

The unionists assembled in front of the Seoul City Office to hold a large-scale rally.

Deploring that backbreaking work only brings overdue wages or industrial disaster, they said that they have struggled in demand of guarantee of working hours and wage raise for over a decade.

Far from lending an ear to the workers, the Park Geun-hye regime put a brake on the motion of livelihood in the 19th “National Assembly” by presenting the retrogressive revision of labor reform.

They advanced 18 demands of the trade union on the law related to the construction work.

The demands are designed to keep elementary rights of the workers and maintain low life, they noted and stressed that the Park clique should accept it to settle them.

The south Korean workers’ action will be fiercer as long as the conservative ruling quarters batten a tiny conglomerates by granting all privilege to them whereas inflict suffering and poverty upon the workers.

Workers and Members of GFTUK Meet

Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- A meeting of workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) took place beside the monument to the sinking of the U.S. imperialist aggressors' ship General Sherman on Wednesday on the occasion of the June 25, the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists.
Present there were Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, officials concerned, officials of trade unions, workers and members of the trade unions.
Kim Myong Gum who witnessed the atrocities committed by the U.S. imperialists made a speech.
She referred to the mass killings perpetrated by them in Sinchon during the period of the temporary strategic retreat of the Korean People's Army during the Fatherland Liberation War.
She bitterly condemned the U.S. imperialists as a group of beasts in human skin and sworn enemy with whom one can not live under the same sky.
The floor was taken by other attendants.
They said that running high was the Korean people's will to take revenge upon the U.S. imperialists who are still working hard to hamstring the DPRK's efforts to achieve the independent reunification of the country and its prosperity.
Young speakers declared that in case the U.S. imperialists ignite a war of aggression at any cost, the young people would turn out in a sacred war of justice alongside the People's Army to wipe out the aggressors and turn the den of evils into ashes so that no one may survive on our planet by fighting an unimaginably retaliatory warfare.
They called for demonstrating once again the stamina and mettle of the heroic Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il working class in the on-going 200-day campaign in the spirit of dealing a merciless sledge-hammer blow at the U.S. imperialists. -0-

US, the chief criminal of Gwangju massacre

Members of the Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy in south Korea held rally before the White House on May 18 together with the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in the US.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the Gwangju uprisers who laid down their lives in the fight for independence and democracy against the fascist military dictatorship.

At the rally speakers said that 36 years have elapsed since the Gwangju uprising and accused Chun Doo-hwan, the ringleader of manslaughter, of denying the brutal massacre of resistance fighters, far from apologizing for it.

In order to embellish the history of autocracy, the south Korean chief executive has distorted the history textbook to belittle the spirit of Gwangju popular uprising, they denounced.

What we should not forget is the fact that the US was behind the massacre in Gwangju because it was impossible to mobilize armed forces without the US approval at that time, they noted, adding: Though it was disclosed that the US approved the military involvement before the massacre, the US has still denied it.

They disclosed that the US conducted experiments on anthrax and botulinus germ as well as Zika virus and the US is going to make its military bases for biochemical warfare.

The US troops in south Korea have committed innumerable crimes in south Korea and the Gwangju massacre is one of them, they added, the south Korea authorities have winked at the GIs’ crimes.

They demanded the withdrawal of the US troops from south Korea.

A statement was read out.

It said the organizations in south Korea and abroad would intensify actions against the US and war.

Open up a fresh era for the popular masses!

There took place a workers rally, mass rally in Gwangju, south Korea on May 14 for inheriting the spirit of the 36th anniversary of the May 18 Gwangju Popular Resistance under the sponsorship of the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Solidarity for Progress.

Attending it were workers, peasants, youth and students, more than 3 000 in all and lawmakers from the opposition parties.

The participants released a resolution.

It said the successful April general election which punished the arrogance of the present regime by the strength of the people is requiring a more positive action.

They said that they should be honorable before the spirits of the fallen uprisers by encountering stubbornly with illegal acts of the current regime.   

At the rally speakers called upon workers and masses to get united to build a world where the south and the north live together, world where workers can work freely, peasants produce freely and all people are happy.

CPRK Secretariat Accuses Park Geun Hye of Turning S. Korea into Veritable Hell

 Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) released a white paper Monday accusing the Park Geun Hye group of traitors in south Korea of the unheard-of hideous fascist suppression it has committed since it took power.
    The white paper says:
    Park Geun Hye worked overtly and covertly to eliminate from the political arena the Unified Progressive Party, which set it as its programme to achieve independence, democracy and reunification, after labeling it as an "unconstitutional pro-north political party." When she found it hard to carry out her sinister design, being faced with torrential public criticism, she cooked up a conspiratorial plotted rebellion case to finally dissolve the party, which had conducted legitimate activities for 15 years, in December, 2014.
    Not content with harshly suppressing the Teachers Union (Jongyojo) founded in 1989, she, terming it the "heart of followers of the north", "enemy inside south Korea", finally outlawed the union by labeling it as an "organization benefiting the enemy."
    The Park group let gangsters storm and illegally search the office and houses of members of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) in broad daylight, confiscate their personal belongings, arrest its core member on his sickbed and impose all mental and physical sufferings on its secretary general by dragging him here and there with his hands cuffed.
    Shortly ago, her group sentenced the advisor to the South Headquarters of Pomminryon, who had been released after serving 35 years in jail, to imprisonment despite his advanced age on charges of violation of the "Security Law" for his possession of "literature benefiting enemy."

Kim Jong Il, a great loss to the nation. Members of the Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy were detained on charges of advocating national reunification.
    In March last year a representative of the civic organization was sentenced to 15 years in jail for making a knife attack on the U.S. ambassador to south Korea as an expression of his anger and protest against the U.S. standing in the way of Korea's reunification and staging madcap war rehearsals for invading the north.
    An increasing number of people in south Korea are arrested every year on charges of violation of the "Security Law" such as "praising and encouraging the north", "joining enemy benefiting organizations", "offering facility" and "hatching plots."
    Politically motivated investigation is conducted legally and openly in south Korea only under the pretext of "combating terrorism" and ensuring "security."
    According to data made public at the puppet National Assembly, the information investigation organs including the puppet Intelligence Service received 82 245 445 secret communication data without official warrants during the three years from 2012 to 2014. This means more than 75 000 data on a daily average and 1.6 cases of investigation into every person in three years.
    Park Geun Hye forcibly banned Jaju Minbo, a progressive internet paper of south Korea.
    During eight months of her office, she deleted more than 23 790 articles on websites on charge of violation of the "Security Law" and forcibly shut down hundreds of websites.
    Park expelled an overseas Korean woman from south Korea on the charge of "praising and encouraging the social system in the north" for the mere reason that she uttered such words as "taste of the beer of the north is good and its rivers are very clean" while giving her impression of the DPRK as what she saw there. It was again Park who hatched all sorts of despicable plots by mobilizing the puppet Intelligence Service against a overseas compatriots organization for disclosing the truth behind the crimes related to the ferry Sewol disaster.
    The Park group's operation for strangling democracy reached at its height in mercilessly suppressing the demonstrations and rallies of workers, farmers and other people from all walks of life in south Korea all out to protect their right to live from the puppet authorities' unpopular rule.
    According to the official data released by the puppet Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, those who were walked away at the venues of rallies and demos in Seoul in 2013 increased more 6.5 times over those in the previous year.
    All the facts go to prove that Park is the ferocious fascist putting the preceding dictators into the shade.

GFTUK Spokesman Urges S. Korea to Send Back to DPRK Workers Abducted

  Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) in a statement on Friday denounced the Park Geun Hye group of traitors for mobilizing the gangsters of the "Intelligence Service" to let them commit the thrice-cursed crime of alluring and abducting in group the woman workers who were working at an overseas restaurant.
    The statement continued:
    The shameless and unethical criminal act is a product of the foolish ambition and the heinous policy of escalating confrontation with the DPRK pursued by the Park Geun Hye group to undermine the single-minded unity of the DPRK and realize the ambition for "unification of social systems".
    The recent gangster-like act of abducting the women of the DPRK working overseas after reaching dark tentacles to them proves that traitor Park Geun Hye's confrontation-minded paranoia has already gone beyond the danger line as it was the most vicious politically-motivated provocation against the DPRK.
    The statement vehemently denounces in the name of all the workers in the northern half of Korea the Park Geun Hye group of traitors who allured and abducted in group the women workers of the DPRK in broad daylight and strongly demanded the Park group to send them back unconditionally and immediately.
    If the Park group wants to prolong its remaining days, it has to apologize before the nation for the group abduction of those women of the DPRK, send them back immediately and unconditionally and sternly punish those who were involved in the abduction and those who manipulated it backstage, the statement concluded. -0-
